Analysis

How we determine our accuracy?

We have recently performed testing of our map against independent seed data. We generally use this data and the below graphs for internal purposes - quality control etc. but I have included them here for your reference. 

Please note: Distances are in kilometers.

The first graph here shows the accuracy of our map against data from the server logs of an astronomy web site where internet uses enter their location to view sky maps.  The raw log file data was first cleaned of inconsistency using a simple algorithm.  A distance based comparison was then performed between the Log Data and the location identified by our technology.  The variation in kilometers is shown above. 

DMA Issues

In almost all cases a county is assigned to a single DMA. However, as noted below, some counties are split across two DMAs. In addition, 51 ZIP codes are split across DMAs.
